Multifunction Steering Wheel Signal DDE 4.0

A signal is sent to the DDE control unit from the multifunction steering wheel for cruise control purposes.

Troubleshooting

Fault code 1E05 "Cruise control unit" is stored if the signal is detected as being faulty.

Consequence: Deactivation of vehicle speed control

Other deactivation conditions

• Clutch operated
  
• Brake operated
  
• Speed less than lower control speed (< 25 km/h)
  
• Speed less than lower cut-in speed (< 30 km/h)
  
• Vehicle deceleration detected (> 1.53 m/s² )
  
• Overshoot cutout (the set speed is exceeded by 16 km/h for at least 30 s)
  
• No valid gear engaged
  
• Fault at clutch switch detected
  
• Fault at brake light switch detected
  
• Signal from multifunction steering wheel not plausible
  

The active switch-off conditions can be read out in the test module.
