The ELAB is an electrically operated valve that is mounted on the front of the high pressure pump. The DDE master control unit shuts off the engine when it activates the electric shut-off valve. A current of approx. 0.5 A flows through the valve when the engine is running. The valve is activated with a current of approx. 2 A in order to shut off the engine.
One of the following fault codes is stored if an electrical fault is detected in activation of the electric shut-off valve or an excessively high/low current is detected.
