Analog Activation Independent Park Heater/Auxiliary Heater

Analog Activation Independent Park Heater/Auxiliary Heater

Analog activation via lines

Analog activation is realized by means of a switched positive supply at plug connector X764 Pin 1 on the auxiliary heater.

The independent park heating telegram is triggered in the IKE during preprogramming or direct operation via the on-board monitor or MID The request INDEPENDENT PARK HEATING ON is sent via the K-bus to the heating/air conditioning control unit. The heating/air conditioning control unit applies a voltageon the wake-up line to the park heating/auxiliary heater. The park heating/auxiliary heater now switches on and applies a voltage on the feedback line to the heating/air conditioning control unit. If the feedback is not recognized by the heating/air conditioning control unit within the next 5 seconds, the switching procedure is interrupted.

In auxiliary heater mode the request AUXILIARY HEATER ON is sent from the heating/air conditioning control unit to the independent park heater/auxiliary heater. The heating/air conditioning control unit applies a voltageon the wake-up line to the park heating/auxiliary heater. The independent park heater/auxiliary heater now switches on.

The radio waves from the telestarttelestart transmitter are forwarded via the rear window to the block circuit in the C-pillar, where the HF signal is converted to a LF signal. This signal is routed to the telestart receiver which, in turn, switches a voltage to the independent park heater/auxiliary heater. The independent park heater/auxiliary heater now switches on and outputs a voltage on the feedback line to the heating/air conditioning control unit which then assumes park heating mode.

When switching off or after the set time has elapsed, a telegram requesting independent park heating OFF is sent on the I-bus to the IKE and then via the K-bus to the heating/air conditioning control unit. The control unit deactivates the voltage on the wake-up line via the telestart receiver to the park heater/auxiliary heater. The park heater/auxiliary heater now switches off and allows the voltage on the feedback line to the heating/air conditioning control unit to drop below 3 Volt. The independent park heater/auxiliary heater now assumes afterrunning mode .
