Blower control
The rear compartment blower is switched on by:
- Operating any button on the rear compartment operating unit
- Switching on the ignition when less than 15 minutes have elapsed since it was switched on and the rear compartment blower was switched on when the ignition was switched off
- Switching off the defrost function on the IHKA when the rear compartment blower was switched on at the time the defrost function was switched on
The rear compartment blower is switched off by:
- Pressing the blower rocker switch to stage 0 when the blower was set to stage 1
- Switching off the ignition
- Turning the blower control wheel of the IHKA on the driver's side to stage 0
- Switching on the IHKA defrost function
The air flow rate via a blower which is installed in the centre console can be adjusted in 16 stages by means of the blower rocker switch in the operating unit. The selected blower stage is indicated by a 16-section wedge-shaped bar in the LC display.
The blower motor cuts in as of stage 2.
The blower motor is driven by means of a transistor output stage with a blower control voltage of approx. 1.0 V to approx. 5.8 V.
