Injectors DDE 4.0

The fuel pressure in the rail is constantly applied to the injectors. Fuel is injected into the combustion chambers upon electrical activation by the DDE control unit.

Troubleshooting

The electrical lines leading to the injectors are monitored for short circuits and breaks. In the event of a defect, the following defect codes are stored depending on the affected injector.

Important: If one of the faults occurs in conjunction with the types of fault "current on high side too high" or "current on low side too high", although the fault is attributed to an injector, due to the use of the common line (U_MV1 and U_MV2 for the respective bank) the fault may be in any line of the three cylinders in the affected bank.

Consequences:

The engine shuts down in conjunction with the fault types "current on high side too high" and "current on low side too high". In the case of the fault type "load drop" (break in line) the engine continues to operate if not more than one injector is affected.
