Components of latent heat accumulator
The LWS temperature sensor for the latent heat accumulator is located outside the accumulator. The current temperature can be determined after flushing the accumulator.
When CLOSED (current applied), the LWS shut-off valve completely disconnects the latent heat accumulator from the coolant and heating circuit .
When CLOSED (current applied), the LWS changeover valve isolates the coolant circuit to the engine .
The auxiliary water pump is located on the LWS valve unit and ensures adequate throughput of coolant in LWS mode.
