Injection Pump Control Unit DDE 3.0

A pump control unit is integrated in the injectionpump VP-44. Its task is to measure quantity and time. The pump control unit cannot be replaced separately.

Troubleshooting

The following types of fault of fault code 43 "injection pump control unit" are monitored in the pump control unit:

• Activation duration monitoring
  Consequence: Engine shuts down
  
• Comparison of crankshaft speed with injection pump speed
  Consequence: Engine shuts down
  
• No pump characteristic map programmed or pump control unit RAM defective
  Consequence: Engine shuts down
  
• Pump control unit EEPROM or ADC defective
  Consequence: Injection quantity limited to 25 mg/stroke
  
• Quantity output stage hardware fault
  Consequence: None
  
• Quantity output stage defective
  Consequence: None
  
• Timeout of CAN message of pump control unit
  Consequence: Engine shuts down
