Rail Pressure Control Valve DDE 4.0

The rail pressure control valve is designed as an electrically operated valve that is mounted on the high pressure pump. The DDE controls the rail pressure control valve with various pulse duty factors for the purpose of setting the setpoint rail pressure calculated by the DDE.

Function

Depending on the type of activation, the pressure control valve allows more or less fuel to flow from the high pressure side into the depressurized return line, thus enabling a specific pressure build-up on the high pressure side.

Troubleshooting

Fault code 1195 ”Rail pressure control valve” is stored if an electrical fault is detected in the activation of the rail pressure control valve.
