The boot lid release makes it possible to unlock the boot lid electrically.
The boot lid is released via an electric drive with integrated return spring.
The drive is activated directly by means of the general module V of the central body electronics.
The boot lid is released by pressing a button in the vehicle interior when the vehicle is stationary and the central locking system is not locked.
In addition, the boot lid can be opened, with the central locking locked, by pressing the button on the key-chain transmitter.
Note: Remote control functions are executed only if there is no key inserted in the ignition lock.
In the event of electrical operation failing the system can be released mechanically through the vehicle interior.
When closing the boot lid, ensure that the boot lid is not banged shut but rather is pressed down by hand. Pressing down the lid is the only way to ensure that the boot lid lock engages correctly and the boot lid switch detects that the lid is closed.
If the boot lid is not correctly engaged, the antitheft alarm indicates by flashing the DWA LED that not all the switches are in the idle state. There is then no visual DWA acknowledgement via the hazard warning system.
