E-box fan DDE 5.0/5.1

(only fitted in tropics model!)

The DDE control unit switches on the E-box fan if an excessive control unit temperature is detected.

Function

The E-box fan is activated if

• control unit temperature > 85°C (switched off again when < 70°C)
  
• the faults 4AF0, 4AF1, Control unit temperature sensor, occur
  

Troubleshooting

If a fault is detected in the control of the E-box fan, the following faults may be stored:

• 4AE0, Activation short circuit to positive
  
• 4AE1, Activation short circuit to earth
  
• 4AE2, Activation circuit break
  
• 4AE3, Excess temperature output stage
