Brake-light switch (DME/DDE)

In the case of this fault, the brake warning light lights up yellow.

Possible cause(s) of fault:

• Cable between brake-light switch and DME/DDE defective
  
• Brake-light switch defective
  

Storage condition(s):

• The DME/DDE detects a fault on the brake-light switch and reports it to the control unit for traction control.
  

Troubleshooting procedure:

• If a corresponding fault is entered in the fault code memory of the DME/DDE, this must be dealt with as a priority in the test schedule.
  
• Otherwise, the brake-light switch and the cables between the brake-light switch and DME/DDE must be checked.
