Visual entry facility

As a supplement to the interior lights, the ground in front of the vehicle doors is illuminated by the visual entry facility. The lights are controlled by the central body electronics control module (ZKE) and additionally by means of a separate module.

Function

The lights of the visual entry facility are switched on together with the interior lights by:

• Pressing the ”unlock” button on the vehicle key
  
• Switching off terminal R when the side lights were switched on beforehand
  
• Opening a door
  

In contrast to the interior lights, the lights of the entry facility are switched off:

• After max. 24 seconds
  
• After switching on terminal 15 (ignition lock in position 2)
  

The lights are switched off by means of the entry light module.

In addition, when terminal 15 is switched on (ignition lock in position 2) the lights of the entry facility are not switched on even when the door is opened.
