The automatic convertible top is a hydraulic convertible top controlled via the convertible top module CVM5. Opening the convertible top cover lock and securing the convertible top are electrically controlled.
The convertible top can be opened and closed via the controls if the conditions stated for opening the convertible top are adhered to. Furthermore, convertible top operation is possible in both directions from the door lock with the ignition key. The radio-control system can only be used to open the convertible top.
The ground-switching microswitch for ”convertible top compartment floor down” signals the position of the convertible top compartment. If the convertible top compartment floor is not lowered, the convertible top cannot be opened. This is indicated by the red LED lighting up in the centre console switching centre when the switch is operated.
