Compression pressure check

• The compression pressure check with the DIS tester takes place indirect via the current consumption of the starter motor.
  
• The pressure sensor is required to obtain a reference pressure and for cylinder allocation.
  

What can be detected with the compression pressure check?

• Unequal cyinder fill levels at minimum lift
  
• Combustion chamber leaks
  

When does a compression pressure check takes place at maximum lift?

• If the compression pressures at minimum lift have such a large deviation that there could also be a combustion chamber leak, the test module automatically offers a measurement at maximum lift.
  
• Combustion chamber leaks are indicated by great deviations in the measured values at minimum lift and maximum lift.
  

Important!

• The assessment of the compression pressures at minimum lift must be performed separately for each cylinder bank.
  
• The compression pressure check at minimum lift does not include an eccentric shaft calibration.
