Checking oxygen sensors for interchanged plug connections

This test module serves the purpose of checking the oxygen sensors for interchanged plug connections.

Effect:

The vehicle emissions are increased to impermissible levels.

Possible customer complaints:

- MIL lamp ON

Procedure:

When work is carried out on the exhaust system that requires the plug connections of the control and/or monitor sensors to be disconnected, this test module must be carried out on completion of this work.

Necessary test conditions:

- Engine running at idle speed

- Coolant temperature > 80°C

- Catalytic converter temperature > 320°C

- No fault code memory entry in the DME
