Lane departure warning only becomes active as of 70 km/h / 40 mph |
After activating below 70 km/h or 40 mph, this symbol is displayed in addition to the lane symbols in the instrument cluster. If there are Check Control messages with higher priority at this time, these messages cover the display symbol. The display appears for exactly 3 seconds. The display cannot be repeated. If symbol is already covered by another display beforehand, the display for the lane departure warning only appears for a brief moment under certain circumstances. After starting up, it is almost always the case that other messages are present that can cover the display for the lane departure warning. This is why this display will no longer be displayed after starting up as of 09/2007. The display only appears if the customer has deliberately activated the system by pressing a button (below 70 km/h or 40 mph).
