Boot lid unlocking

With boot lid unlocking, the rear lid lock is unlocked electrically when the rear lid is opened.

Function

The boot-lid unlocking takes place by means of an electrical drive that unlocks the rotary catch of the luggage compartment lid. The unlocking can be operated from following points:

• Remote control
  The remote control can be used to unlock the luggage compartment lid independent of the state of the central-locking system
  
• Rear lid button in rear lid
  The luggage compartment lid can be unlocked when the central-locking system is in the state ”unlocked” and the vehicle is stationary.
  
• Interior button (only for USA vehicles)
  The luggage compartment lid can be unlocked when the terminal R is off and the vehicle is stationary (terminal R function can be coded). The luggage compartment lid can also be unlocked when the central-locking system is in the state ”locked”.
  

Hotel setting

The hotel position can be engaged via the luggage compartment lock. When the hotel position is active, the luggage compartment lid cannot be opened using the remote control nor using the buttons.
