The combustion in a Hydrogen 7 vehicle is controlled by the engine management system. The entire fuel supply with hydrogen (H2) is controlled and managed by the Clean Energy control unit (abbreviation: CESG).
The CESG performs the following essential functions:
The primary consumer is the combustion engine, which is able to burn both gaseous hydrogen and petrol. The CESG performs the functions of the refuelling operation that are allocated to the vehicle (and not to the engine). The CESG also monitors information on the vehicle condition, in particular escaping H2, runs corresponding safety functions and contains energy management.
