This document describes the important factors to be borne in mind for the test module 'Heating test routine'.
The test module is divided into three sections that are described briefly below.
1. Check lock As long as the auxiliary heating system is locked, no heating test routine is possible. For this reason, the test module starts with automatic unlocking of the auxiliary heating system if locking is detected. (If no automatic unlocking of the auxiliary heating system is possible, see document 'Useful information'.)
2. Erase fault memory There is the possibility to erase the fault code memory of the auxiliary heating system. The fault code memory should be deleted if the heating test routine is run as a so-called end test on conclusion of a repair to check the auxiliary heating system. Another reason for deleting the fault code memory would be to check the fault code memory entries.
3. Start the heating test routine The heating test routine runs on its own and on conclusion produces the result 'Heating test routine OK, yes or no. Independent of the result of the heating test routine, the fault code memory must then be read out again and possibly the corresponding test modules run.
IMPORTANT: during the heating test routine, please connect the exhaust extraction unit to the exhaust pipe of the auxiliary heating system.
