Rear floating headliner mounting

Repair instruction for mounting the floating headliner at the rear

Check that the floating headliner is secured correctly.

1. Remove the rear glass slide/tilt sunroof cover.
   
2. Bring the floating headliner into the front position.
   
3. Undo the 4 mounting bolts of the floating headliner.
   The floating headliner must be able to move freely.
   Note:
   the wire springs on the left-hand side must not be jammed or jump underneath the collar bolts!
   
4. Move the floating headliner into the rear position and then back towards the front up to approx. 2 cm before the frontmost position.
   
5. Retighten the 4 mounting bolts of the floating headliner.
   Note:
   it must be possible to move the control rail on the left must in a lateral direction and it must snap into place correctly. The wire springs must be visible. See Fig. 1.
   
6. Reinstall the glass slide/tilt sunroof cover.
   
7. Carry out a function test.
