This calibration procedure must be carried out in the following case:
Matching has the function of activating/deactivating fault recognition in the DDE for the assemblies multifunction steering wheel and air conditioning.
Example: If the cruise control calibration status is ”Fitted” and the multifunction steering wheel is not fitted on the vehicle, fault detection is active on the DDE and a fault code is always stored in the fault memory due to the absence of the multifunction steering wheel signal.
When calibration is carried out, the status of multifunction steering wheel and air conditioning calibration is set to ”Not fitted”. If one of the two assemblies is fitted, the DDE control unit automatically detects it immediately and stores the appropriate calibration status.
