In motor sports vehicles, activating the Sport button initiates altered driving characteristics. (For detailed information, see Owner's Handbook).
An activated function can be seen from the active indicator lamp (Sport switch light) in the button. The check involves actuating the button a number of times. The state detected by the engine management system is displayed on the tester. The display appears with a slight time delay.
In the event of faults, all signal cables as well as correct earth connection and power supply and the fuse must be checked. Of the Sport switch lighting is defective, fault 2AC7 is stored. In this case, during the test the activation is displayed on the tester although the indicator lamp is not activated.
