The energy-saving mode enables a defined vehicle condition in which the power management reduces the consumption of resources while the vehicle is being driven to a greater degree than during normal operation. This means that a number of engine functions can only be run to a restricted extent. For example, the engine speed is limited to a lower level by software.
An energy-saving mode is available in the versions ”production mode”, ”transport mode” and ”workshop mode”.
The current state of the energy-saving mode can be read out at the <control unit functions> in the submenu <- states>.
Note:
When the vehicle leaves the plant, it is placed in the energy-saving mode. After resetting the energy-saving mode, fault 2FC6 might be set. In this case, the set fault has no effect. Programming the control unit or renewing the control unit are not relevant remedial measures!
