Controlled fuel pump

Note on function

The following control units are involved in the controlled fuel pump function:

- Engine management system
- Electric fuel pump (EKP) control unit

The engine management system sends the request for the fuel required at the moment to the EKP control unit. The EKP control unit converts this request into a corresponding engine speed for the fuel pump in the fuel tank. The EKP control unit then activates the fuel pump according to the engine speed.
