Repair instruction for 'drinks holder opens too slowly or not completely'

Complaint

Drinks holder moves out too slowly.

Cause

Drinks holder in the dashboard.

Repair instruction

1. Check whether the drinks holder and glove compartment have been correctly fitted (tension-free, no resistance before screwing down).
   
2. If the joins are uneven, remove the drinks holder and fit again until the gap is correct. If the drinks holder e.g. is seated too deeply, it is braked in the decor strip.
   
3. Check whether the drinks holder is OK when not fitted.
   

Note

Only replace the drinks holder if steps 1 and 2 in the repair instruction are not conducive to achieving objectives.
In this case, please keep the damaged part.

Series solution

For vehicles as of date of manufacture 18.04.2005, modified drinks holders are fitted as series standard.
