Repair instruction for centring pin on cowl panel

Set the centring pin for the cowl panel.

Use special shims to adjust the centring pin on the front roof shell.

1. Remove centring pin. See Fig. 1.
   
2. Attach special shims (0.5 mm thick) from the electronic parts catalogue under the centring pin. See Fig. 2. Proceed step by step and only fit one shim at a time, fit the centring pin again and check whether the rattling noise has been eliminated.
   If the noise can still be heard, repeat the operation until the noise has been eliminated.
   Normally one 0.5-mm shim is sufficient.
   
   

Important information!

If too many shims are fitted, deformations occur on the outer roof panel!
