Repair instruction for setting the guide cylinder centre interlocking ring buckle

This instruction applies to vehicles as of date of manufacture in calendar week 04/2007

  1. Remove the headlining of the front roof shell.
  2. Slightly loosen screws 2 and 3 at the guide cylinder. See Fig. 1. Open the roof until the guide cylinder can be moved by hand.
    Note:
    bolt 4 must not be loosened so that the longitudinal position is not changed!
  3. Close the roof completely and tilt the guide cylinder by 0.5 mm slightly against the counter support.
    Note:
    the tilting is intended to remove the rattling noise.
  4. Tighten screw 2.
  5. Move the roof to the intermediate position and tighten screw 3.
  6. Fit the headlining of the front roof shell.
