The vehicle must be enabled for this service before delivery to the customer. This function is started from the vehicle.
To enable the service, a mobile phone approved by BMW for the vehicle (see current compatibility matrix) as well as a valid SIM card are necessary. The mobile phone also has to be configured for automatic transmission of data connections. On enabling, a data connection to BMW AG is established. (Duration: approx. 1 minute). As a general principle, enabling is possible in all mobile communications networks, provided the mobile telephony contract includes data connections. To avoid costs for the customer, do not use the customer's SIM card!
Note: If no mobile communications connection is possible in the workshop, enable the service outdoors. In this case, the pre-delivery check must be terminated beforehand.

The BMW TeleServices Call transfers the CBS data from the vehicle to the BMW Dealer providing support.
