Rattling noise in the glove compartment in the area of the lock detent while the vehicle is being driven.

Cause

Setting of glove compartment or lock detent incorrect.
Only individual cases affected.

Repair instruction

Check the setting and adjust if necessary; grease lock. If the noise still occurs, replace the glove compartment.

Series solution:

As of May 2005, a modified glove compartment is fitted.
