With the introduction of a new generation of electronic immobilisers, the adjustment between the engine control unit and electronic immobiliser is no longer required.
The elimination of the adjustment for 6-cylinder petrol engines takes effect with the DMEs MSV80 and MSD80 as of June 2006.
In the case of diesel engines, the change will be introduced with DDE7 as of March 2007.
Engines from M-GmbH no longer have to adjusted to the DME MSS60 as of June 2007.
From this point onwards, DME / DDE or CAS control units can only be replaced with control units specifically ordered for each vehicle.
