Transmission speed sensor

The transmission speed detects the slip point of the clutch.

By comparing the with the engine speed, the DME control module decides on the closing speed of the power transmission between the engine and transmission created by the clutch.

The program-selector switch can be used to manually change the closing speed and this the shift comfort.

Brief description of components

The transmission speed sensor is fitted at the outer front of the transmission case at the same height as the drive shaft. The transmission speed sensor is a Hall sensor. The sensor is supplied by the control module with +5V and ground.

The transmission speed is calculated from the impulse sequence on the feedback wire.
