The Sport switch enables the driver to choose between the Normal or Sport program. Selection of the Sport program is only possible in the manual mode. As a function check, an indicator light is located in the switch. On leaving the manual mode, the Sport program is closed and the display goes out.
On vehicle start, the Sport program is always deactivated.
The switch sends the signal S_Sport (SMG control module module 3 pin 26) to terminal 31 (ground). As function check, a light emitting diode is activated which activates the signal SPORT_ON (SMG control module module 3 pin 25). The voltage supply for the function check lamp comes from terminal 15.
The switch has a locating light that is supplied with current through terminal 58g by the lights switching center.
