The test module 'Ignition and injection diagnostic' checks the primary ignition signals and activation signals of the fuel injectors. The test runs automatically.
Precondition for automatic check of the primary ignition signals and activation signals of the fuel injector is the use of the multichannel adapter MKA and the multifunction cable MFK2. A special test is used to check the operability of the adapter and of the MFK2.
At the start of the test module, the fault memory of the Digital Engine Electronics (DME) is read out. If recorded faults are found, they should first be eliminated using the relevant test modules.
The primary-side ignition signals for cylinders 1 to 8 are picked off at the adapter boxes of the DME control module individually for each cylinder using the MKA, displayed on the Tester as an oscilloscope measurement and then automatically evaluated.
The activation signals for the fuel injectors of cylinders 1 to 8 are measured for each individual cylinder, displayed on the Tester and then automatically evaluated.
