Complaint

When the air conditioning system is switched on, a clearly audible noise occurs on driving off at an engine speed of approx. 500-550 rpm.

Note

The noise can be easily confused with noises from the valve gear (VANOS).

Replace the air-conditioning compressor with an air-conditioning compressor that has a belt pulley made of steel.

Deployment of new air-conditioning compressor in series production: 19.07.2004 with manual transmission.

Deployment of new air-conditioning compressor in series production: 24.09.2004 with optional extra 205 automatic transmission.
