The luggage compartment lights comprise the functions:
The power module monitors the battery charge level and the open-circuit current consumption of the car. In addition, the trunk lid lock is controlled via the power module. Information is received and sent via the data bus K-CAN SYSTEM.
The luggage compartment light is fitted in the luggage compartment below the rear parcel shelf. The luggage compartment light, trunk lid/tailgate, is fitted in the trunk lid/tailgate. The lights are switched on and switched off in parallel.
The central locking drive, trunk lid/tailgate, is fitted in the trunk lid/tailgate. The central locking drive, trunk lid/tailgate, switches the luggage compartment lights on and off.

Switching off:the luggage compartment lights are automatically switched off when the central locking drive, trunk lid/tailgate, locks the trunk lid/tailgate.
To ensure the vehicle battery is not discharged when the lights are switched on permanently, the power module switches off all lights of the vehicle approx. 15 minutes after the ignition has been switched off (terminal R OFF).
