Telestart for initialization of hand transmitter

In contrast to the remote control key, the Telestart hand transmitters must be initialized manually. Two transmitters per vehicle can be initialized and used simultaneously.

Initialization of the Telestart hand transmitter

1. Open the vehicle and enter with the key as well as Telestart hand transmitter. Close all doors.
   
2. Activate terminal R, then deactivate terminal R (E65: take ignition key from the ignition lock).
   
3. The CAS Comfort Access System is ready for initialization for approx. five seconds.
   
4. Within these five seconds, press the OFF button of the Telestart hand transmitter and, holding the OFF button, press the ON button briefly three times.
   
5. The LED of the Telestart hand transmitter flashes.
   
6. The central locking system signals successful initialization of the Telestart transmitter by immediately locking and unlocking the central locking system.
   
7. If there is no acknowledgment from the central locking system, the initialization must be repeated.
   
8. If a second Telestart hand transmitter is to be initialized, proceed as described from 1) onwards.
