Important! Please observe when replacing a control module with which no communication was possible!

After the control module has been replaced and programd, injector volume calibration must be carried out. The codes of the injectors fitted on the vehicle must be saved on the new control module. To perform this operation, use service function ”Injector volume calibration”.

Introduction

The control module connector is a modular design consisting of two connector modules with a total of 154 pins.

• Connector module 1: 96 pins (interface with engine and injector wiring loom)
  
• Connector module 2: 58 pins (control module power supply and interface with vehicle wiring loom)
  

Ambient-pressure sensor

The ambient-pressure sensor is integrated in the DDE control module and cannot be replaced separately.

E-Box fan

In vehicles with hot-country equipment, an E-box fan is fitted in the E-box for better heat dissipation. Activation of the E-box fan is monitored by the DDE.

Note: The fault locations that serve to monitor the E-box fan activation are used to monitor the heater of the crankcase ventilation on vehicles with cold-country equipment.

Troubleshooting

The DDE control module is monitored for different internal faults. If an internal fault occurs, the DDE control module must be replaced.
