System test: Displays of instrument cluster

The system test permits simple, visual checks of the operability of all displays in the instrument cluster. For the check, the following are automatically activated:

All pointer instruments and their lighting
All segments of the LC display in the speedometer and their background light
All segments of the LC display of the program and gear display and their background light (in the case of automatic transmission)

Check of the pointer instruments

The pointers are moved once continuous from the left-hand stop to the right-hand stop and back. During the check, the pointers must move smoothly.
