Dent in front roof shell

Repair instruction for dent on the front roof shell or 'rear module does not close completely'

If a dent, see Fig. 1, is discovered on the front roof shell, this fault has the following cause.

An object was placed to the side adjacent to the luggage compartment and the hardtop was opened. This meant that the roof package could not be correctly stored. Closing the rear module damaged the front roof shell.

Note:

This is operator fault on the part of the customer. The user has not complied with the warnings in the luggage compartment and in the Owner's Manual. No warranty through BMW.

Replace and paint the front roof shell.
